Job Title: Part-Time College Marketing Student - Email and Social Media Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time College Marketing Student to join our dynamic marketing team. As the Email and Social Media Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing our marketing email communication and social media platforms. Your responsibilities will include monitoring marketing emails, distributing or responding to them appropriately, and curating engaging content for our social media channels. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a college student looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in the marketing field.

Responsibilities:

1. Email Management:

Monitor the marketing email inbox and respond to inquiries or forward them to the appropriate team members.

Ensure prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries and feedback.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create and schedule email campaigns and promotions.

2. Social Media Coordination:

Utilize Hootsuite to schedule social media posts based on the staff-generated content provided.

Curate and schedule posts in accordance with the content calendar, ensuring consistency and engaging content delivery.

Collaborate with team members to create compelling content and visuals for special posts.

3. Content and Image Generation:

Assist in generating content and visuals for social media posts when needed.

Coordinate with the design team to ensure visually appealing and on-brand social media assets.

Stay updated with current social media trends and industry best practices to enhance engagement.

4. Project-Based Activities:

Contribute to special marketing projects, such as presentation generation, graphic design and content strategy as needed.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for marketing campaigns.

Requirements:

Current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage email communication efficiently.

Proficiency in social media platforms and a good understanding of social media marketing strategies.

Basic image editing skills and familiarity with content creation tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.

Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining consistency in brand messaging.

Availability to check the email inbox twice a day and willingness to receive notifications on a mobile device.

Basic knowledge of Hootsuite or willingness to learn the platform.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

Hours and Compensation: This position is classified as a 1099 position. As a 1099 employee, you will be considered an independent contractor, not an official employee of the company. This means that you will be responsible for handling your own taxes, including both income and self-employment taxes. No taxes will be withheld from your payments, and you will receive a Form 1099-NEC at the end of the year, reflecting the total income earned.

Please be aware that the pay for this role will vary depending on the specific activities and projects assigned. The hourly wage mentioned earlier is a baseline estimate, and compensation for certain projects or additional responsibilities may differ accordingly.
